Solicit for support to assist their families
The President of Udodiri Ndom Amawom, Owerri Municipal Council, Ezinne Ihuaku Osuji has solicited for support to assist their families.

In her address on the occasion of the unveiling of their constitution, she said it will make the consolidation of love, peace, mutual co-existence, among Ndom Amawom, progress and development. She stated that the association organized themselves to promote peace, decency, sound character and integrity and listed some challenges facing the association which include lack of interest in the association by so many women, financial challenges, poor attendance to meeting, disunity in some kindred’s etc. She thus maintained that they reviewed their constitution in order to amend some problems that existed among them.
The Chairman of the occasion, Chief Ambrose Nkwodimmah (Abumaleya), pledged their support to the women. He admonished them to ensure peace and unity saying they should shun crisis and abide by the constitution.

Hon. Ernest Ibejiako (Nwa Ndaa), advised them to love one another, avoid bitterness and rancor stressing that staying in office after tenure expiration is bad. He charged them to embark on developmental projects to boost their group corporate fund. He called for peace and unity which enhance progress. He stated that they will restore the lost glory of Owerri and possess their possession in due course.

 

The President General of Udodiri Ndom Owerri, Mrs. Stella Amadi and President Oganihu Ndom, Umuodu Ezinne Felicia Anoruo, separately said there is no crisis among Udodiri Ndom Owerri. They urged them to unite, love one another and assist the indigent women among them. Hon Stanley Anebere, Mr. Kenna Nwere and Mr. Osita Ugorji in their various speeches lauded Ezinne Ihuaku Osuji for her transparent leadership and urged the women to support for her. They advised Owerri women not to lose hope assuring that the challenges of Owerri women association will soon be over.

 

The Chairman of Amawom Youths, Prince Olumba Njemanze, represented by the vice Chairman, Mr. Obiyo Oparaku eulogized the women. He assured them of their support and commended the organizers of the event for a job well done. Hon. Pius Osuji and Prince Eugene Njemanze also expressed their happiness at the togetherness existing among Amawom women. They enjoined them to shun anything that will bring division in the association and appreciated the Ezinne Ihuaku Osuji led exco for the vibrant leadership which has impacted in the women. The highlights of the occasion include the fashion contest where Mrs. Ifeyinwa Oparaku of Umuokoro kindred came 1st, Mrs. Adanna Nnwere of Umuekeonunwa kindred emerged 2nd position, Mrs. Chika Ekwebelem of Oguoma kindred emerged 3rd position, Mrs. Tina Emerole of Umuokorie kindred emerged 4th position and Mrs. Joy Njemanze of Umunjemanze kindred took the 5th position.
