The Rochas Good Governance Religion, (RGGR), Imo State chapter comprising clerics and heads of independent churches and religious organizations in the state have expressed their unflinching support for the programmes, policies and leadership style of Governor Rochas Okorocha and the governorship ambition of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu who they said is amply qualified and experienced to step into the governor’s big shoes, come 2019 to continue and consolidate on his excellent performance.
The Director General of the group, who is also the founder and presiding Bishop of Zion Mountain Bible Church Inc, Bishop Lemchi, the Assistant Director, Apostle Joseph Ohuruiaku, state secretary, Rev. Kenneth Njoku and state youth leader, Engr. Emma Oparaocha on behalf of other members said Rochas Good Governance Religion is a platform through which religious leaders and the church intend to contribute their quota to the enthronement and continuity of good governance in the state for the benefit of the people.
They stated this while addressing the press after the state executive council meeting of the Imo State Council of Youths in Owerri last Wednesday, 2nd May 2018. They expressed absolute confidence in governor Okorocha’s sense of judgment and promised to mobilize support for Ugwumba Uche Nwosu or anybody the governor endorses to succeed him in 2019 “because, as a good father, he know the antecedents and capability of his children”.
Responding to a question, they posited that “Uche Nwosu will neither fail nor disappoint because he has remained steadfast and excelled in all sensitive positions he has held so far. Besides we will keep upholding him in fervent prayers for divine wisdom, guidance and protection. We therefore urge Imo people to support governor Okorocha and whoever he presents as his successor”.
