A source close to the committee recently inaugurated by the governor of Imo State, Hon Emeka Ihedioha, has revealed that the immediate past government of Imo State under Senator Rochas Okorocha, squandered about four Hundred and fifty Million Naira,(N450,000000.00) paid to ADAPALM host community by a company.

According to the source, the indigenous company known as SEPLAPT, which recently started drilling and oil prospecting operations in the oil rich areas of Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and had situated their office at a portion of land said to belong to the ADAPALM community, though not without paying handsomely to the host community.

The alleged sum of money was said to have been paid to the Governor, through Hon. Kingsley Uju, the sitting House of Representatives Member for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta Federal Constituency but the interim management committee has no trace of the fund. Instead, they are claiming that there is evidence of such money paid to the ADAPALM host community.

The source revealed that Hon Kingsley Uju virtually ran the government establishment as a joint business with ex-governor Rochas Okorocha, stating that Roche Company that managed the establishment had Rocha’s daughter as Director.

He berated the way and manner the past government destroyed ADAPALM which used to be one of the major sources of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for Imo State. He also described such as greed and wickedness for anyone to have embezzled fund meant for the community without reference to anyone.

He called on the governor of Imo State, Ihedioha to kindly ensure that all those who looted public funds don’t go unpunished no matter how highly placed they are.

Efforts to reach the lawmaker, Kingsley Uju proved abortive as he neither picked his calls nor returned same.He did not also reply text message that wes sent to him for confirmation.
