There are strong indications that officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are on the trail of Imo new commissioners for offences or fraud committed by Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his aides, more than a year ago.

Recently, EFCC invited the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, on sundry issues including fraud which he knows nothing about, having just assumed duties a few months ago, within which he has not handled any funds or projects.

While responding to such scary invitations by EFCC in a letter addressed to the SSG, through his Personal Assistant, C.N Ukwuoma, the Honourable Commissioner for Transport referred to the letter referenced SG/S.1132/T.I/142 of 15th October 2019, where he observed that the financial transaction in question or under review, as contained in a letter CR3000/EFCC/ENZ/LPFU-STF/Vol135, dated 30th September, 2019, took effect before the creation of the Ministry of Transport.

He recalled that within the period under review that it was Ministry of Works and Transport under Chief (Mrs) Getrude Oduka.

A source revealed that aside the Commissioner for Transport, other heads of parastatals and ministries are having similar experience in the hands of EFCC.

On the October 8,2019 the interim management committee of Adapalm, Dr Anthony Karanwa was said to have also visited EFCC over fraud allegedly committed by Okorocha’s men.
