Governor Rochas Okorocha in his weird style of grabbing everything at sight, has finally commissioned his private Radio/TV stations in the high brow area of Owerri.

It would be recalled that ahead of 2015 general elections the Imo State governor was at the verge of appropriating and converting the former NIPOST office at New Owerri, into his private Radio/Television station but the plan was put on hold as soon as the Community Watchdog Newspaper, unveiled and queried the move.

Performing artists and celebrities including Tu-Face Idibia were on ground, to commission the ultra modern radio and television stations, named “Reach Fm station Owerri”, on Friday 4th May, 2018.

The station as disclosed to us by a staff of IBC may crumble activities at IBC since all government advertisements and party activities will now be channeled to Reach FM station for airing and advertisement.

Already the Governor’s daughter Uloma, wife of the Chief of Staff and heir apparent, Uche Nwosu is overseeing the station. She will combine the job with her duties as Director, “House of Freeda” among other numerous roles as contractor, distributor, retailer and marketer of goods and services.
