Mother of slain Isu LGA Councilor,Mrs Juliana Maduabuchukwu

Mrs Juliana Ahamefule, a widow and the mother to the late Isu supervisory councilor, Mr Mmaduabuchukwu Ahamefule, who was gunned down while trying to reclaim his office at Isu LGA secretariat has continuously bemoaned the murder of her only son whom she described as humble, industrious and reputable young man.

In an exclusive interview with our reporter at her Isu, Mrs Juliana Ahamefule while in tears narrated the events leading to her son’s murder.

According to her, on January 6th, 2020 a large number of Isu people including the suspended Local Government Chairmen and Councilors who were suspended by ex-governor Emeka Ihedioha, gathered at the Isu Local Government Headquarters to protest their suspension. Suddenly some well armed Security Operatives said to be on the payroll and control of Chief Henry Ihejiuba (Okeosisi) opened fire at the people and shot her innocent son and grievously injured some other people while Ahamefule who was abandoned in a pool of his blood died immediately.

Late Mmaduabuchukwu Ahamefule whose murderer was allegedly linked to Chief Henry Ihejiuba popularly known as Okeosisi of Isu and a former Security Adviser for Orlu zone to sacked Governor Emeka Ihedioha, was until his death, the breadwinner of the family who left behind a young pregnant wife and three enfant daughters.

Mrs Ahamaefule, a widow expressed challenge in overcoming the shock of her son’s demise, saying that he was a son of encouragement and consolation. “He took the position of my husband since my husband’s death some years ago”, she lamented.

She pleaded with the government of Senator Hope Uzodinma to ensure that justice prevails, adding that a murderer deserves to be sentenced to death by hanging and does not see why Okeosisi and his gunmen wont go in for the offence.

Finally, she thanked Hon Chief (Mrs) Ngozi Obiefule, the honourable member representing Isu LGA in Imo State House of Assembly and Hon Nwadike Chimezie, the LGA Chairman for their support so far and prayed God to sustain the duo for her.

She also appreciated the role of the media and police in making sure   that the case is not swept under the carpet. She emphatically said that if not for the roles played by these categories of people,no body would have known that her son was gruesomely murdered let alone making case for her.”They wanted me to bury him like a nobody”,she cried.
