Nigerian Watchdog Newspaper

As Watchdog of our immediate society, we expose ills of the society through citizens’ journalism that avails the people the opportunity to freely air their views, not minding whose ox is gored while also adhering strictly to the ethos of the journalism profession.

Today, the Newspaper prides itself as the best investigative media house in the South East of Nigeria. The Newspaper had in 2018 won award as best investigative Newspaper in South East by the Igbo community in Abuja. Our story is that of one that survived its travails inspite of the concerted efforts of unfriendly elements to suppress it within one year(2015) of its existence.

Nigeria Watchdog which head office is located at No 3 Zanda street with branches in Orlu, Umuahia, Abuja, was established in July 2014. It started as a weekly publication but has become a triweekly publication with the intention of going daily in due time.

Just recently, in a bid to expand the scope of the Newspaper, the management and board of Spectacular Publishing Ltd changed its name from COMMUNITY WATCHDOG Newspaper to NIGERIA WATCHDOG Newspaper. This development has been roundly commended by our readers, especially those who for long yearn to grab hard copies in the neigbouring states of Nigeria. All thanks to our new investors.

The Newspaper is viewed as a platform for all, devoid of any speck of sectionalism or favoritism. We believe in the concept of development journalism. Our passion is to help in entrenching an open society.
