1. The Provost of the Federal College of Land Resources Technology (FECOLART) Oforolla in Owerri West LGA, Dr Oluyemi Solomon Akande, has lauded members of the college Alumni Association for forging a common front to ensure the success of the long overdue maiden convocation ceremony being put together by the management of the institution.

Dr Oluyemi Akande stated this during a meeting he held with top management staff, principal officers of the institution and members of the Alumni Association led by Nnamdi Osigwe as Chairman.

In a release issued on behalf of the institution by the Assistant Public Relations Officer, Mr Chukwuka Nnaemeka Joseph, they gave the highlights of the meeting to include; recognition of the Alumni via official letter from the Provost approving their intention to open a joint account and to mobilize their members at home and in diaspora to strategize for the maiden convocation ceremony scheduled for the third quarter of the year.

They also agreed on the need to jointly address the public on the preparations for the long awaited convocation ceremony.

Others who attended the crucial meeting include the Deputy Provost; Dr M.C Jonah, the Registrar; Engr Donatus Igbojionu, the Assistant PRO; Chukwuka Joseph and the Regent of Oforolla community; Obichere Austin Chika. Others include Anozie Richmond as Secretary of the Alumni, Ibekwe Godswill as Treasurer, Gbechinyere Gideon as Financial Secretary, Ikeogu Chukwuka as Welfare, among many others.
