As political parties political structures and politicians strategize and realign ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Imo State, a renowned philanthropist and business mogul, Chief Barr. Success Akaghurupnye, has vowed to enthrone peace, unity and mutual co-existence through continuous, even and equitable development. of the state if elected governor in 2027.
He stated this during an interactive session with newsmen at his secretariat in Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise LGA, shortly after receiving members of the New Progressive Imolites from the three zones of the State, who came in their large numbers to pay him a solidarity visit on Tuesday.
Barr. Akagburuonye, who is the Founder and National President of Hope Rising for Imolites, noted that he has organized several empowerment programs across the state, especially in the area of human- capital development, adding that his empowerment programs are hinged on his pact with God.
“I am fulfilling my promises to God as written in the book of Psalm Chapter 66 verses 13 and 14. The people of Imo believe that if I am given the opportunity, I will do more to further enhance the lives of ndi Imo”, he stated.
My plan is to ensure that Imo State is secure and peaceful. One of the ways to achieve this is the redevelopment of the State. I will also bring the presence of God in Imo State I won’t prove anyone. There will be progress and development. We will create jobs to keep our youths meaningfully engaged. They will be little or no time to engage in criminal activities or any form of violence ” Akagburuonye maintained.
A large number of members of the New Progressive Imolites from the various Loca Government Areas in Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu zones, led by their State Coordinators and other officials were in attendance.
Earlier in his speech, the state Coordinator of the group informed Chief Akagburuonye that “We are solidly behind you and will bring ourselves to work assiduously and ensure that we walk with you to the Government House come 2027”
