The youth body of Amanator Okporo Autonomous Community in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State known as Akwakuma General Youths Assembly has exonerated Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers Chairman,HRM Eze E. C. Okeke from the alleged steady attack and demolition of their Community market known as “Eke Akwakuma Market.
Mr. Ukachukwu Oguegbe,the Chairman of Akwakuma General Youths Assembly told journalist via cellphone over the weekend that Eze Okeke remains their father, adding that they cannot afford to join issues with him hence he earlier played fatherly role in ensuring that the Market stands.
Mr. Oguegbe admitted that the earlier publication accusing the traditional ruler of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom and Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers Council,HRM Eze E. C. Okeke of masterminding attack and demolition of Market was made in error, revealing that he was not consulted before going public to deceive people.
The youth chairman apologized to Eze Imo, promising to get back home and address his people.
He however disowned the recent newspaper publication, attributing it to enemies of Amana tor Okporo in Orlu Local Government Area.
“I am not aware of a current petition addressed to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State through the State Director of DSS. I’m currently outside the Eastern part of the country. Truly,Alawuba family and other people bought landed property within the Market, and we have no issue with them. All we want,is the progress of our Community Market “,he stated.
