–         Says; 2027, Year Of Reckoning

Ohaneze Youth Council, the socio-cultural organization of the entire Igbo race, has berated political leaders of Igbo extraction for doing nothing about the frightening security challenges that have made the zone lose property and businesses worth over a trillion Naira.

The group in a press statement signed by its National President, Comrade Igboayaka. O. Igboayaka, accused the political leaders of being responsible for the marginalization of the South east geopolitical zone in the scheme of things through their docility, ineptitude and lack of patriotism influenced by compromise and self aggrandizement. He vowed that 2027 will be a year of reckoning because they will all be compulsory retired politically.

“I urge the over 50 million Igbo youths at home and in the Diaspora to brace up for a political earthquake or better still a ballot revolution that will compulsorily send all present and past political office holders into political oblivion in 2027.”

Igboayaka urged the youths to take a cue from the “Aba Women Riot of 1929” which defied and put the colonial powers on their feet, adding that “since the return of uninterrupted democratic governance Igbo land has been ravaged  by political vampires and scavengers leading to extreme economic and political marginalization that has ignited the Biafra agitation.”

Continuing, the group said, “It is unfortunate that the lack of political education has caused the vast majority of Ndigbo and Pro-Biafrans to mistakenly believe that the federal government is solely responsible for the marginalization of Ndigbo, when in reality, Igbo politicians and political office holders are responsible for 75% of the marginalization, and the federal government is responsible for 25%.

Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka, National President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), encouraged over 50 million Igbo youths both home and diaspora to get ready for a political tsunami, a ballot revolution that will usher out Igbo past and present political office holders in 2027.

It is vital at this stage for Igbo youth to harness the audacity and spirit of resistance exemplified by the “ABA WOMEN RESISTANCE” of 1929, which dared to defy the colonial powers in Eastern Nigeria. Clearly, since 1999, spanning more than 25 years of continuous and uninterrupted democratic governance, Igboland has been ravaged by political vampires and scavengers, precipitating extreme economic and political marginalization, which has ultimately ignited the Biafra Agitation.

The recent orchestrated conspiracy by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) against Ndigbo, the lapidated/poor condition of federal roads in the Southeast, approval of outdated single gauge rails for the Southeast, exclusion of the Southeast from over 300 billion irrigation projects, retrenchment of Southeast directors and workers from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), lack of international airports despite the high travel frequency of Ndigbo, lack of seaports despite Ndigbo being the greatest importers and exporters in Nigeria, absence of industrial gas pipelines in Igboland, and economic marginalization raise concerns about regional disparities.

The emergence of political office holders in Igboland since 1999 has been driven by external influences either from Northern or Western Nigeria, rather than the mandate of the Ndigbo people. This prolonged silence by Igbo political office holders since 1999 implies their complicity in the 58-year marginalization of Ndigbo, which followed the 1967-1970 genocide.

Regrettably political wolves, vampires and leeches have been recycled for many years in the political space of Igboland without a reasonable result.

Unfortunately we are being killed everyday by Fulani herders invaders and jihadist, more causality have been recorded in Enugu and Ebonyi followed by Imo, Abia and Anambra, yet Southeast political office holders are sitting tight to power, very docile and inactive to protect lives and properties in Igboland. All the community youth leaders should rise and mobilize the youth for defensive mechanism strategy by every means necessary to protect Alaigbo now, to avoid the “Cry of Benue”

With the colossal failure of leadership and governance in Igboland, it’s now a community effort for self-defense against gunmen, Fulani Herdsmen Invaders and Jihadist attacks. Do not provide opportunity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or your Governor to visit the scenes of your DEATH.

The insecurities afflicting the Southeast since 2021, reportedly engineered by Nigeria’s former President Mohammadu Buhari, aimed to tarnish the image of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and classify it as a terrorist organization, a consequence potentially facilitated by the passivity and accommodation of Igbo political office holders.

The ineptitude of Southeast political office holders spanning from governors to lower-ranking officials, has exacerbated the insecurity in the Southeast, resulting in the loss of over (10,000) ten thousand lives and nine trillion (9tr) naira worth of businesses and properties, ultimately leading to a significant loss of human capital and the forced migration of over thirty thousand(30,000) Igbo youths out of Igboland.

Subsequent to Dr. M. I Okpara’s exit from the Eastern Region as the premier in the wake of the genocide, Igbo political office holders have guided Ndigbo towards political subordination and economic deterioration, resulting in Ndigbo falling behind by 50 years and undoing/destroying the achievements/legacies of Dr. M.I Okpara. The Excellencies are not excellent in leadership service and the Honorables have dishonored Alaigbo with executive/ legislative impunity and rascality.

It is essential that Igbo youths should key into the ongoing mobilization of Igbo Youths in Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC) to take effective resilient action in 2027 and retire these unproductive political characters who are as barren as the fig tree Jesus Christ recommended cutting down.

Comrade Igboayaka stated that there will certainly be “Oso Oppressive Politicians” in Igboland by 2027, which is the only way to restore the dignity of Ndigbo and prepare the future of the unborn Igbo generation that has been mortgaged by Igbo transaction politicians a d Saboteurs.

Given the significance of Ndigbo’s history, it is essential that emerging political leaders, fresh political aspirants for Governor, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly gear up, buckle their sandals and tighten their seatbelt for a Democratic Political Ballot Revolution in Igboland in 2027 with 100% political substitution, Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka concluded”.
