The Chairman of Labour Party in Orlu Local Government Area O.C.A, Emejuru has called out the former Chairman of the party in Imo State Barr Callistus Ihejiagwa who he accused of deceit for still parading himself as Chairman of the party despite the recent Supreme Court judgment that sacked the Julius Abure-led national and state executive councils of the party.
Emejuru, in a release captioned, “DECEIT BY CALISTUS IHEJIAGWA TAKEN TO FAR” noted that the media space was recently flooded with paid advertorials that hyped the purported inauguration of a banned Obedient office in the Labour Party which they renamed Directorate of Mobilization and Integration that failed in Imo State including Abuja.
“Confronted by the unending affront to further deceive unsuspecting Labour party members that will, just like the same Calistus Ihejiagwa did in the recent past with his state wide revalidation and membership registration, an exercise with which he raised hundreds of millions of Naira that he has refused to account for in Imo state, it has become compulsory that every right thinking leader in the party cannot remain muted while the damages are perfected by suspected moles in Labour party.
Recall that prior to the most recent supreme court decision that sacked the Julius Abure leadership which one Chief Innocent Okeke that came down from being the then national vice chairman of labour party to accepting the insignificant post of vice national secretary of the same party just to remain close to scrums, the Calistus Ihejiagwa that was planted in Imo state and their cohorts in my Orlu LGA floated what appeared later as a selfish money making exercise and has held loyal Labour party membership on our throats for quite too long. Allowing them to continue to deceive the public and further destroy the chances of Labour party will be unforgiving hence this exposé.
In our capacity as the Labour party Orlu LGA Care-Taker-Committee (CTC) under the leadership of Hon. Chief Innocent Nwadavid at state and Dist. Sen. Nenadi Usman as the national Chairman, Labour party membership and the public is by this statement, advised to ignore the antics of the Abure led agents who may be angling at extorting monies from the unsuspecting public in the name of Labour party membership mobilisation and integration and report any such fraudulent activity to the local ward offices/ers of the Sen. Nenadi Usman's Labour party Care-Taker-Committee.
Labour party is the only political party in Nigeria with human face and should be protected from turning it to another Nigerian usual political platform for individuals with criminal intentions for personal financial benefits”.
