…Endorses Support For New State Creation In Southeast
A prominent youth leader and advocate for good governance, Hon. Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ajapurumba, has extolled Governor Hope Uzodimma,(Onwa) over what he described as “a bold and progressive approach to leadership,” especially in the areas of infrastructure development and advocacy for justice and equity in Nigeria’s state structure.
Speaking to newsmen during an interactive session with youth stakeholders in Owerri, Hon. Ifeanyi who hails from Oru East Local Government Area, of Imo State, noted that Governor Uzodimma’s leadership has ushered in a new wave of visible development and renewed confidence in governance.
Ifeanyi made special mention to the Control Flyover currently under construction in the capital city of Imo State, which he said is not only timely but also a symbol of the forward-thinking vision that Governor Uzodimma brings to the table.
“The ongoing construction of the Control Flyover is a testament to a governor who listens, acts, and delivers. The project is set to ease traffic congestion, improve road safety, and uplift the urban outlook of Owerri. It’s a project we can all be proud of” Ifeanyi said.
He highlighted other infrastructural strides such as the rehabilitation of key roads across the state, improvements in healthcare infrastructure, educational reforms, and empowerment initiatives aimed at youth and women.
“Governor Uzodimma is demonstrating that governance is not about empty promises, but about measurable impact. From urban to rural communities, his developmental footprint is visible,” he added.
He also commended the Governor’s courageous support for the creation of a new state in the Southeast, as presented during the recent public hearing of constitution amendments, in Owerri.
“The Governor’s support for the creation of a new state in the Southeast is a monumental act of patriotism and justice. For too long, our region has suffered from structural imbalance in representation, resources, and development opportunities. This move shows that the governor is not only concerned about physical infrastructure, but also institutional fairness and equity” Ifeanyi declared.
On this premise, he called on Imo youths and those across the Southeast to rally behind Governor Uzodimma’s progressive agenda, stressing that politics must move beyond sentiments and become issue-based.
Ifeanyi affirmed it is time for the youths to be more involved in governance, supporting leaders like Governor Uzodimma who are laying solid foundations, not just for now, but for the future.
He encouraged continued dialogue between the government and the youth, urging the state government to expand its youth empowerment programmes and ensure more inclusion of young minds in policy formulation and leadership structures.
Hon. Ifeanyi affirmed his unwavering commitment to community development, grassroots mobilization, and youth reorientation even as he maintained that with leaders like Governor Uzodimma who blend vision with action, the future of Imo State and Southeast at large are in capable hands.
“In a time when Nigeria needs builders and bridge-makers, Governor Hope Uzodimma stands tall as one of the few leaders ready to rise above ethnic and partisan divides to do what is right”
“He is building not just roadand as young people, we must support and emulate such leadership,” Ifeanyi emphasized.
