– Lobbies Northern Leaders

The former Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Rt. Hon Emaka Ihedioha in a deft move to garner the support and solidarity of Northern elites in ADC has advocated that HE Mr Peter Obi should be adopted as a consensus candidate of the party for one tenure period in the interest of equity and justice come 2027.

Speaking during a recent political engagement in Abuja,  Ihedioha stressed that Mr Peter Obi has been outstanding and has over the years shown capacity to bring Nigeria out the woods. His coming will usher a new beginning in Nigeria.

He posited that  leadership goes beyond mere criticism or forming alliances against the ruling party. He emphasized the need for substance, robost strategies, and programs that address Nigeria’s deep-rooted challenges.

According to him. “ADC need someone honest, savvy, humble, popular, and charismatic, someone Nigerians love,” ,” Obi is fantastic and would be a good match to take ADC to victory.

He pleaded on the North to show support and solidarity declaring that the best choice for ADC is the likes of Peter Obi, describing him as a unifying figure who already enjoys widespread support. “He has said he will serve only one term. As a gentleman he will keep to it.

According to Hon Ihedioha Nigerians need a competent and compassionate president that would help restore the waning glory of the country and not one elected based on  ethnic sentiments.

“Nigeria needs a president for all Nigerians.

We need a president that will help tackle and solve the nation’s myriad of challenges, both political, social and economic,  like insecurity, unemployment, poverty, deteriorating health and education systems, among others.

He went to say that people who support bad governance in Nigeria, whether knowingly or unknowingly, contribute to the country’s continued underdevelopment. Through tribalism, political loyalty, ignorance, or personal gain, they enable corrupt leaders to remain in power, weaken institutions, and deepen the cycle of poverty, insecurity, and injustice.

“Their actions, or inaction, make them complicit in the suffering of the masses and the erosion of national progress.” he said
