The remains of mother of Professor Okee Okoro,former  Imo State Commssioner for  Ennvironment and Senior Lecturer in Imo State University, Late Mrs Chinyere Edith Okoro of Umuarole, Etekwuru, Obuomadike autonomous community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State will be laid to rest on Friday August 15, 2025.

According to a burial arrangement signed by Mayor Chukwuma Okoro for the family, there will be a service of songs at late Nkemakalam Okoro’s compound at Etekwuru Plantation, Egbema on Thursday, August 14, 2025, while the body will leave Aladinma mortuary by 7.30am on Friday August, 15, 2025. There will be a brief stop over at her paternal home, Awarajih’s compound, Okoroshikpa village, Abacheke, Egbema by 8.30am same day.

The body will be laid in state at Primary School, Etekwuru Plantation, by 10 am, while commendation service by the Assemblies of God Church, Etekwuru, Egbema 2 section of Owerri West District will be held at the same venue by 10.15am.

There will be interment in her husband, Chief Felix Okoro’s Etekwuru compound by 12.30pm.

The release further stated that there will be an outing service at the Assemblies of God Church, Etekwuru Egbema by 9 am on Sunday August 17, 2025.
