Traditional Rulers have been urged to leave the government alone and work with their subjects to secure and protect their communities from the evil of insecurity.

This urge was made by HRM, Eze Amb. Frankline Kajetan Okafor (Igwe Eji Amatu – Otachara – Oha ll of Osemoto Enigbo autonomous community in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, in an interview with journalists, shortly after a Security Meeting involving Imo Monarchs, held at the Secretariat of Council of Traditional Rulers, Mbari, Owerri, on Tuesday.

Eze Okafor said the traditional ruler, being the custodian of culture, as well as the chief security officer of his dormain, should evenly, cordially work with his subjects to ensure effective security, adding that such makes him a strong and a wise king.

He emphasized that his capacity, proactiveness, coordination, sense of unity, patriotism, team spirit and communality play significantly to the peace, security, joy and progress of Osemoto Enigbo autonomous community, an oil producing area, he said he is very proud of and stands tall always to protect and defend.

The development- oriented, peace-loving and pragmatic monarch, did not mince his words as he praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for seeing that security is maintained in Imo State.

“I thank God Almighty for given us Governor Hope Uzodimma, a nice man, someone who has deep respect for God and humanity. I fully support his idea of every community producing 15 youths as vigilante to help us secure our communities. The youth will police proactively – having known the nooks and crannies of their communities. This feat is a milestone. Hence, the Kings should go home and protect their communities while relating effectively with the government”, Eze Okafor emphasized.

He assured the people of Osemoto of his continued selflessness, steadfastness, kindness, sincerity, patriotism, goodness, godliness and cooperation as he drives them to comfort, social development, economic prosperity and peace.
