… Assure Uzodimma of continued support

Youths, drawn from all the communities of Egbema, an oil rich kingdom, under the auspieces of Egbema Youth Association, had vowed that they would henceforth give their solid support to APC and Governor Hope Uzodimma as he continues his good leadership in Imo State.
They also vowed that they will fully support whoever the Governor brings out to succeed him prior to, during and after election in order to continue what they termed as Superlative Performance by the Governor.
They made this vow and call when they staged a Solidarity Rally for the Governor at Government House Gate Owerri on Thursday, with an incripion on one of the placards: Egbema Youths Solidarity Walk For Senator Hope Uzodimma – Celebrating Six Years Superlative Performance In Imo State.
Speaking, Prince Francis Uzor, Patron of Egbema Youth Association, said the youth decided to march in solidarity for the Governor to thank him for the good things he is doing in Imo State which he said are improving peace, security and development, attracting investors and boosting the economy.
“All the youth in Egbema communities are here to happily demonstrate our appreciation to
Governor Hope Uzodimma on his six years Supperlative Governance in Imo State.
“He is doing well. And today, in solidarity, the youth have decided wholeheartedly to work with you, to support you as you achieve the dream of a better Imo State.
“Henceforth, Egbema youths are for Senator Hope Uzodimma. Where he is, is where we will be. Egbema youths are solidly supporting him because of his good works: Owerri is so beautiful, the most neatest city in Nigeria.
“Imo is peaceful and we are very happy. Since we cannot buy a car for the Governor, we are giving him our support. I charge all the youth in Imo State to join APC, the ruling party, to fully liberate this nation and push out the bad eggs who have been causing underdevelopment.
“Nigeria is in a position where every body must speak out, to join hands with the centre to make Nigeria better. So, I call on all the youth in Nigeria to come out and be part of what is happening in their environment. They should not overlook their environment nor say it does not concern them.
“I advise Imo people especially youths to follow people who are with Governor Hope Uzodimma. He is a good man who has capacity for good leadership which is evident in the quality multiple Roads and Flyovers constructed, sustenance of peace, security, among other solid achievements he did that strengthen productivity and development.
“We stand on Hope Uzodimma’s mandate and we see him as the best Governor in Nigeria and we plead that he remembers to work roads in Egbema, improve electricity. Anything that is good for good people we want it in Egbema oil kingdom as it is in Owerri and other places. We are sorry for any wrong we have done against the Governor”, Uzor added.
While calling on government to provide jobs for the youth of Egbema, electricity, road and other necessities that help good living, President, Egbema Central Youth Association, Comr. Deacon Henry Mayor Alimezie, begged the Governor to compel oil companies operating in Egbema to employ their people, as well as implement the PIA.
“The Road from Avu, Adapalm to Etekuru and environs are bad. We are begging the Governor to quickly intervene as to complete the road which is being delayed by the Contractor.
“In fact, we want the Governor to change the Contractor handling the project and bring Craneburg to complete it so that we enjoy as others.
“Many Egbema youths are jobless. We need jobs especially from the oil companies operating in our communities. We are going to engage the oil companies hence we want government to intervene.
“There is no electricity in Egbema despite our oil resources. He should quickly intervene. Egbema youths have come to beg the Governor to forgive us and give us electricity, work our deplorable roads and employ our youths and pay them well. Egbema youths will give him necessary support to enable him complete his remaining two years”, Alimezie reiterated.
