-SAYS WHEREVER GOVERNOR GOES,HE GOES

The leader behind the ongoing massive wave of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Evang. Myke Obinna Ikoku, has categorically stated that he has no political ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that his only ambition is the success of the performing Governor of Imo State, Hope Odidika Uzodimma.
Evang. Ikoku made this disclosure in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Monday, while reacting to a flurry of goodwill messages that have continued to pour in since his return to the APC—a move widely credited with orchestrating the ongoing mass defection of former PDP members into the ruling party.
The Nkwerre Local Government Area–born leader emphasized that he is not contesting any election, stressing that wherever Governor Uzodimma goes, he goes. He further stated that in the coming days, the remnants of PDP members in the state will be completely emptied into the APC.
According to him, this development is a direct result of the superlative achievements of Governor Uzodimma across all sectors of the state’s economy.
Reiterating his position, Evang. Myke Obinna Ikoku noted that he has learned from past experiences and is now fully committed to consolidating the gains of the 3R (Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, and Recovery) Administration. He explained that his current focus is to work strictly under the directives of Governor Uzodimma to ensure sustained progress and political stability in Imo State.
He concluded by reaffirming that Governor Hope Uzodimma remains his sole political ambition, stressing that his loyalty is rooted in performance, vision, and the continued advancement of the state.
