-Express Confidence In Union Leadership
The work station project proposed by the Comrade Precious Nwadike-led Nigeria Union of Journalists, Imo State Council has received a boost as Imo community in the United Kingdom has pledged to support and partner with the union to achieve its noble objective by donating 10 computers.
The leader of the group Chief Kelechi Stephen disclosed this while speaking with leadership of the union shortly after their recent meeting.
He expressed confidence in the Comrade Nwadike-led executive’s ability to sustain the union’s growth, vision and mission as contained in it’s blue print of action for the good of media practitioners, the journalism profession and the society at large.
The Diaspora group also promised to assist in making the work station a reality and also partner with Imo NUJ in achieving other developmental agenda as part of their contribution towards supporting journalists who play cardinal roles in mobilizing, educating and sensitizing the people in line with their constitutional responsibility.
Continuing, Chief said, “we are committed to partnering with Imo NUJ under the able leadership of Comrade Precious Nwadike that has, to the best of our knowledge performed creditably. It is also interesting to note that as one of us, he is in a position to represent us very well in all aspects.
Reacting to the development Comrade Nwadike, commended the Diaspora group for their interest and support which he said will go a long way in motivating members of Imo NUJ who will also leverage on the opportunities offered by their good gesture to enhance their productivity for optimal service delivery.
He prayed for God’s guidance, protection and blessings in their individual and collective endeavours.
