A prominent but reportedly controversial Imo politician who recently accused a politician in Imo state of abandoning him after the services he purportedly rendered to him while seeking public office is said to have lost his 28 year old son while in detention.
The man who hails from Orlu in Orlu Local Government Area was reportedly arrested last week over an allegation of sundry offences.
Information available to our news desk indicates that the said politician’s 28 year old son died while his father was in detention. It was not clear if he has been granted bail as at the time of filing this report.
One of his childhood friends who commented on the development said, “what is happening to our friend is the product of nemesis. He is not only unnecessarily controversial but also arrogant and intolerant. This is a man who often insults and heaps curses on people on the slightest provocation including his children and members of his extended family. He even delights in posting some of the squabbles he has with people on social media. If not for the fact that his son died while he was in detention, nobody would have sympathized with him. Honestly, he is a very difficult person to associate with”.
