The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has said that he was not involved in most of the projects initiated by the Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration that he was part of.
The former deputy Governor in a short rebuttal he signed and made available to the press, said, “Governments all over the world have operational mythology and mechanisms, and I believe Willie Amadi should understand the same.
“The issue of ‘Imo Air’ was the prerogative of the then Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and to the best of my knowledge, it was not deliberated in the Exco as at that time.
As protocol demands, the government may decide to invite guests to an occasion.
The attendees and officials are not in any way culpable, liable and should not be held responsible for any shortfall,” Prince Eze Madumere clarified”.
Meanwhile, the rebuttal is sequel to a recent comment on Facebook by Barr Willie Amadi, a chieftain of the All Progressive (APC) in Imo State.
Willie Amadi’s post that led to the rebuttal reads thus, “Someone should ask Anayo Rochas Okorocha, Eze Madumere, Rex Anunobi and Acho Ihim in this picture about the millions of dollars spent for Imo Air.
They fraudulently launched Imo Air and aircraft still had Dana Air on it.
See OPOCA Chieftain, Rex Anunobi in red cap behind Sen. Rochas.”
To this end, Prince Eze Madumere is a decent gentleman, a humanitarian and a very humble man seeking to be elected as Imo State Governor in 2027, and as such, his hard-earned reputation and image must be protected and projected in the right light”.
