–         Passes Vote Of Confidence On  Reps Member

The Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Elders Council has expressed profound disappointment over the attack unleashed on Engr Akarachi Amadi, who represents Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives by Barr Rex Anunobi, Leader of Orlu Political Consultative Assembly (OPOCA).

The group, in a release signed by its Spokesperson Barr Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike) said it is unfortunate and ill-advised that rather than commend or engage constructively with the issues raised by Hon Akarachi Amadi, particularly his bold and timely call on the floor of the House for the creation of an additional local government from Mbaitoli, the largest local government area in Nigeria Hon. Anunobi instead chose to malign a young legislator who is simply doing the job his constituents sent him to Abuja to do.

Let it be made unequivocally clear: Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi spoke the mind and aspirations of the people of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru. His demand for administrative restructuring is not only justified by demographic and geographic realities, but also reflects the long-standing desire of the people for fair representation, improved governance, and enhanced development.

Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Elders Council called on Barr Rex Anunobi and his group to channel whatever concerns they have towards their own representative and allow the young, youthful and energetic Engr Akarachi Amadi to do what he his constituents sent him to Abuja to do on their behalf, which he is presently doing very well.

“This is not a time for divisive rhetoric or misguided criticism. Rather, it is a time for all leaders of conscience to focus on the collective progress of our people and align with the shared vision of unity and development championed by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, under the 3R Administration.

We reaffirm our full support for Rt. Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi in his efforts at the National Assembly and call on all true sons and daughters of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru to close ranks and stand firmly behind him”.
