…Seeks Urgent Rehabilitation Of Akokwa-Arondizuogu-Okigwe Road
In a significant show of appreciation, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ideato North chapter has praised Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his administration’s efforts in rehabilitating the Orlu-Akokwa Road.
The commendation was made during a meeting held at the Council Headquarters in Ideato North Local Government Area on September 12, 2025. The meeting, chaired by Mazi Onyife Iloabuchi, Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ideato North, also recognized the efforts of the Executive Chairman of Ideato North LGA, Mazi Chinonso Okpaleke.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ideato North chapter lauded the governor’s initiative in rehabilitating the Orlu-Akokwa Road, describing it as a people-oriented gesture that has rekindled hope in the hearts of the people.They noted that the crucial infrastructure project has brought hope and relief to the people of Ideato North, enhancing economic activities, mobility, and overall development in the area.
The group commended Mazi Okpaleke for drilling solar-powered boreholes across most wards in Ideato North, alleviating the challenge of potable water supply, and for ongoing infrastructural and community development projects.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ideato North chapter appealed to Governor Uzodinma to consider the urgent rehabilitation of the Akokwa-Arondizuogu-Okigwe Road, citing its potential to enhance economic activities and curb insecurity challenges.
The group appreciated the governor’s efforts in restoring peace and security in Ideato North, fostering stability, community confidence, and development. They pledged their loyalty and support to the governor in his visible efforts to achieve his 3R initiative.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ideato North chapter encouraged Mazi Okpaleke to expand his developmental projects to ensure every ward in the local government benefits from good governance. The body assured Okpaleke of their continued support and partnership in driving developmental initiatives.
