The Correspondent of Blueprint Newspapers in Imo State, Comrade Chidiebere Iwuoha, last week distributed writing materials, including customized exercise books and pen to the students of Umueze Secondary School and Umueze Ogwa High School in Mbaitoli Local Government Area.
The humanitarian gesture was done on the platform of his pet project Eleazar Iwuoha Foundation, in memory of his father, Councilor Eleazar Nwadike Iwuoha, who represented his ward in the Mbaitoli Legislative Council and died 1983, while in active service.
The foundation also instituted an Annual Best Writer Award to be named, Eleazar Iwuoha Best Writer Award to enhance the students’ writing skills and make them develop the flair for writing.
There will also be cash prizes in addition to gifts that will be won by those who performed excellently.
“ It is worthy to note that the foundation had in the past, identified with the less privileged by giving them money, clothing them and cooking for them to make them have a sense of belonging. But this time around, resolved to equip the students in his community academically.
During the distribution of writing materials students as well as their teachers were in jubilant mood and begged for more of the gesture. They also prayed God to keep the founder and coordinator of the foundation alive to achieve his life’s desires and also replenish his pocket.
