-Commends Governor’s Personal Support For Mgbidi Secondary School
The Mgbidi Secondary School Old Boys Association (MSSOBA) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for their visionary leadership, reflected in the commissioning of landmark infrastructure projects across the state.
In a statement issued by its Pioneer President and Founder, Dr. Chris Chukwuemeka Ekwueme, the association described the inauguration of the 52-kilometer Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Road, the Control–Assumpta Twin Flyover, and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) as “historic milestones that showcase purposeful governance and renewed hope for Imo people.”
Dr. Ekwueme said the association aligns with the renewed sense of progress driven by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Uzodinma’s Shared Prosperity Vision, which have reignited confidence across communities.
> “Imo is witnessing a new wave of transformation anchored on vision and service,” he said. “As old students of Mgbidi Secondary School, we are particularly inspired by the Governor’s personal involvement in the renovation of our alma mater — a gesture that reflects his love for education and loyalty as an old boy.”
MSSOBA urged the government to extend more developmental projects to Mgbidi and Oru West Local Government Area, particularly in road rehabilitation, school infrastructure, and healthcare.
Dr. Ekwueme reaffirmed the association’s readiness to partner with government on education and community development, adding that the recently commissioned projects represent “what is achievable when leadership, vision, and service align.”
He also called on all old students of Mgbidi Secondary School to unite in supporting efforts that promote educational excellence and community progress.
