The First Lady of Imo State, Her Excellency Barrister Mrs Chioma Uzodimma has been commended! for her unwavering commitment to the poor and vulnerable and her unyielding support for initiatives that aid the comfort and improvement of the underserved in the society. The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu stated this while announcing the 7th Edition of her Empowerment Scheme which is scheduled to hold this Saturday, 14th of February, coinciding with this year’s Lovers’ Day celebration.
The Ogwume Ideato South born renowned women mobiliser and social activist gave kudos to the Imo State First Lady for touching the lives of thousands of Imolites and people from outside Imo State through her numerous humanitarian initiatives. She averred that the First Lady’s unyielding passion for improving the lives of others is unprecedented.
“While I have always had this vision and had always done my best in the little ways I could afford to support those in need, the support of Her Excellency Barrister Chioma Uzodimma has been invaluable in ensuring that I continue to be at the service of my people in many ways, especially, through this empowerment program, which to God’s glory is in it’s 7th edition. “
She has extended invitations to hundreds of beneficiaries and key political stakeholders in Ideato nation to grace the occasion billed to take place in her father’s compound at Ogwume Ideato South LGA.
