The President of the Imo State Council of Town Union Presidents-General, Hon. Kingsley Chigozie Omuruka, has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for what he described as impressive leadership and developmental strides as the state marks its 50th anniversary.
Speaking with journalists via telephone, Hon. Omuruka said Imo people have ample reasons to celebrate the golden jubilee, citing notable achievements of the Uzodimma administration. According to him, these include the expansion of quality road infrastructure, improvements in the healthcare sector through the State Health Insurance Scheme, and efforts to fully connect the State to the national power grid.
The community leader congratulated the people of Imo State on the milestone, describing the 50th anniversary as a historic moment for reflection, renewal, and recommitment to progress.
In a goodwill message to mark the occasion, Hon. Omuruka reaffirmed the commitment of the Imo State Council of Town Union Presidents-General to supporting the realization of a “3R government” in the State, stressing the importance of purposeful leadership and grassroots participation in governance.
Popularly known as “The Blocker,” Omuruka assured Governor Uzodimma of the council’s continued support, while emphasizing their role in promoting peace, unity, and development across communities in the State.
He further noted that the golden jubilee celebration presents an opportunity for Imolites to renew their confidence in the future of the State and work collectively towards sustainable growth and meaningful transformation.
