The State Congress of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, will hold on Saturday, 11th April 2026 in Owerri, the state capital.
A release from the Media/Publicity Subcommittee signed by Dr AMANZE OBI said the leadership of the party is more energized and better prepared for the State Congress following the resounding success recorded in the Polling Unit, Ward and Local Government Congresses held two days earlier.
The Congress, according to the release, will hold at the designated venue already communicated to members of the party. It emphasized that all registered members of the party are eligible to participate in the Congress and called on them to come out in their numbers and be part of what promises to be an eventful outing.
The statement reads in part:
“Imo State Chapter of our great party, the African Democratic Congress, will, in line with the directive of the national leadership of our party hold its State Congress on Saturday, 11th April, 2026. We are proud and elated to announce that the Polling Unit, Ward and Local Government Congresses held on 9th April was a resounding success across the 27 local government areas of the state. We are therefore more energized for the coming state congress. As a political party, the ADC is poised to rescue Nigeria from the maladministration of the present federal government. The rescue effort has begun with the orderly and credible manner the Congresses have held. The smooth outcome of the Congresses is a testimony to the fact that ADC, can, indeed, enthrone a new Nigeria based on equity, justice, and the rule of law.”
