Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway excursion after landing, assuring the public that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated without injuries or fatalities.

The airline disclosed this in a public notice issued on Wednesday, stating that the aircraft veered off the runway after landing in Benin. It, however, emphasized that the incident did not result in any casualties.

An assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the occurrence is currently underway,” the airline stated.

Enugu Air further announced that the incident may lead to temporary adjustments to some of its flight schedules, adding that affected passengers would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.

The airline reaffirmed that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority, while thanking customers for their understanding and promising to provide further updates through its official communication channels as investigations continue.
