…Adopts Uzodimma As Sole Senatorial Candidate
Ideato North/Ideato South Legislative Councils have declared the former governor of Imo State and immediate past Senator for Orlu Zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Persona Non Grata (unwelcome) in the local government areas.
This sanction was contained in a resolution jointly passed by the Councillors of Ideato North and Ideato South LGAs in which the former Governor was declared Persona Non Grata.
Moving a motion by the Councillor representing Dike Na-Fai, in Ideato North LGA, Hon. Donatus Ogudike, supported by other legislators, the people resolved that Okorocha be restrained from coming Five kilometers radius to Umuchima Bridge which they admitted is being constructed by Governor Hope Uzodimma led 3R administration.
The Councillors regretted that Okorocha, being an indigene of Ideato South, failed to construct roads and bridges in Ideato Nation while in office as Governor and as Senator despite the deplorable state of those physical infrastructures and the danger they posed on the residents and road users.
“Rochas Okorocha be restrained from coming any where near Umuchima Bridge, he will be declared Persona Non Grata (unwelcome) by the gods and elders of the land if he is seen 5Km radius around the bridge for failing to come to our rescue when we most needed him and moreso, when he has the powers to do so”, they maintained.
They however adopted Governor Hope Uzodimma as sole candidate for Orlu Senatorial Zone Senate in the forthcoming polls.
They said that their holistic adoption of the Governor for the Imo West Senate Seat was because of his love for the people of Ideato Nation, which they added manifest mostly on the ongoing quality construction of Roads, Bridge in the area.
They assured the Governor of clean and overwhelming victory at Ideato during the 2027 elections, as a mark of reciprocity for the good work he does for them.
