Distinguished Senator Sam Daddy Anyanwu, representing Owerri senatorial zone in the national assembly has publicly declared his intention to re-contest for a second tenure.

The youthful senator who was a two time member of the Imo State House of Assembly, for Ikeduru state constituency, gave this hint while addressing journalists during his annual Christmas interaction with the press.

Senator Anyanwu, chairman senate committee on ethics and privileges, said the second tenure will enable him consolidate on the efforts he has already made and also ensure completion of some of the NDDC and other projects he attracted to the zone. He disclosed that first time in the senate does not often enable one to attain desired height or realize set objectives “because of the obvious disadvantages of being a first timer.” 

He assured the people of continued quality representation, even and equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy. He also used the opportunity enumerate his achievements, in addition to several empowerment and skill acquisition programmes he sponsored.

The one time executive chairman of Ikeduru LGA, averred that he will support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate, assuring that the “repackaged, rebranded and reinvigorated PDP is mobilizing and strategizing. From all available indications and by the grace of God, PDP will definitely clinch power in the state at the state and federal level in 2019.”
