Chief Felix Chidi Idiga, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of JAFAC Foundation, last Sunday initiated a N60m empowerment programme for the people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East LGA local government areas. He also used the occasion which held in his Amaifeke, Orlu LGA community home to formally declare his ambition to contest for the federal constituency seat.

Chief Idiga assured that the welfare and empowerment of the youths is an issue he has always taken seriously and will not relent if elected. He pledged to hold a constituency briefing yearly, to  publicly show-case his score card in the green chambers of the national assembly, stressing that whatever is due to the people will definitely reach them “because I am already a wealthy man by the grace of God and will have no need to short change my constituents if given the mandate”.

The JAFAC President disclosed that he had single handedly constructed about 47 roads in Orlu zone, paid the hospital bills of many people he did not know and empowered over 2,700 people, aside the N60m he has presently ear- marked for the empowerment of 3,000 people from the three local government areas, to be trained fashion designing, hair dressing, electrical/electronics etc, after which they will be assisted with start off capital. “If I could do all these with my personal resources, I will do better if elected into government”.

Chief Idiga said he is touched by the plight of educated youths roaming the streets because of joblessness and pledged to use his wide contacts to address the issue if elected.
