Gerthill Community Outreach Inc, a non-profit NGO based in Los Angeles California, USA which is founded is by Chief (Mrs) Uloma Ihenachor (Obata Uloadimma of Orlu) On December 24, 2019, with its team of volunteers and staff, visited and threw a lavish Christmas party for the children at the Special Education Center and Cheshire Home in Orlu, Imo State,Nigeria.

The children received food items, T-shirts, basic over-the-counter medications and other Christmas gifts.

According to the Founder/CEO of Gerthill Community Outreach Inc, Chief (Mrs) Uloma Ihenachor, “Our mission is to put smiles on the faces of these children every Christmas. These children do not have homes or parents”, hence rely on donations and support from humanitarian organizations and individuals.

According to the President of the foundation, “Gerthill Community Outreach Inc. will continue reaching out to the children. We do this every year and plan to continue on a daily bases as time goes on. They should not be abandoned because of disability. There is God given potential in every human being irrespective of the challenges inherent in the physical appearance”.

She stated that there is ability in disability and called on well meaning individuals and other charitable organizations to spare a thought to extend kindness, love and care to the vulnerable group especially orphaned and widows.
