Honourable Charles Ebonuma , the Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to Imo State Governor,Senator Hope Uzodinma on Disabled Matters last Saturday embarked on a state wide sensitization rally in accordance to the programme of the Governor against COVID-19 pandemic.

The sensitization rally involving other stakeholders, leaders of disabled associations and well meaning individuals was carried out on the streets, parks, and crowned with visits to the palaces of some traditional rulers in Orlu zone. 

Honourable Charles Ebonuma had along with his team advised the public to stay safe, observe personal and environmental hygiene, wash their hands often and maintain social distancing. They also provided sanitizers,soap and buckets for the people of the areas they visited to wash their hands. 

On a visit to the palace of His Royal Majesty Eze (Dr) Emmanuel Okeke JP, the Orlu zone Chairman of Traditional Rulers, the Ezeudo of Amaifeke Autonomous Community, the Eze applauded the team for their noble actions and urged them to continue the good work.

Hon Bright Uzoma, the President General, Joint National Association of Persons with disability Imo state chapter, Comrade Kenneth Ugwuegwu, Secretary General, Imo state disabled leadership forum, Mr Kalu Christopher, Chairman of The Blind in Imo State and Mr Ikenna Osueke, Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with disability Orlu zone unanimously pleaded with Eze Okeke to use his good offices to attract a lucrative position for Hon Charles Ebonuma which will enable him oversea the affairs of all persons living with disability or who are physically challenged in Imo state. According to the leaders Hon Charles Ebonuma is an honest man with a good heart and they trust he will deliver.

His Royal Highness Eze Philip Uzodinma, Eze Ozuh Omuma Autonomous Community had also received the team in his palace with words of encouragement for their worthwhile actions.

Hon Chief Chinonso Akwaeke, the former Senior Special Adviser to the governor on Market development who was among the team enjoined the public not to live in fear of the Coronavirus but to take necessary precautions in order to prevent the spread of the virus within their localities.
