The National Association of Imo State Students (NAISS), the apex umbrella body of Imo students, at home and in the diaspora, on Saturday 31st March 2018, held her 12th National Convention, where a new National exco was elected to pilot the affairs of the association for the next few years.
The free, fair and hitch free election which held at the NUJ International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), along Port Harcourt road, Owerri with the active participation of accredited delegates and chapter presidents was supervised by staff of Department of State Security (DSS), leaders of Students Union Government and gentlemen of the press.
Comrade Tochi Anyaoha and Obi Benneth Enyi, emerged National President and National Vice President respectively, while Comrade Anele Viola Ogechukwu is the Secretary General.
Other members of the new executive council include, Comrade Afojuru Sylvester C, Vice President (Internal), Ibe Ezinne, Vice President (External), Eke Ugochukwu, Financial Secretary, Okeh Stephen Chinuoku, Treasurer, Festus Ezekwem N, Assistant Secretary General, Ejike Praise-God C.N.N, Publicity Secretary, Emeka Uche, (Contact and Mobilization), Obioha Collins C., Director of Sports, Chizoba Kingsley O, Director of Social, Ujuwundu Everest C, Director of Welfare, Chidiebere Precious A, Provost, Cephan Ogechukwu Eluwa, South East Coordinator, Obi Samuel, South West Coordinator and Amaechi Chiadika O, South/South Coordinator.
