Two acclaimed youth leaders and grassroots mobilizers, Hon. Kelechi Aziuke, Director General and Coordinator of Rochas Good Governance Group in Owerri Federal Constituency and Engr. Eze Ekene Norbert Light, Founder and state facilitator of Ugwumba Continuity Club have commended the Rescue Mission government of Governor Rochas Okorocha for its giant strides in infrastructural development, urban renewal programme, that has enhanced the aesthetic beauty of the state capital and other cities in the state, the free education programme, construction of hospitals in each of the 27 local government areas in the state in line with its policy of health at your door step, construction of several link roads that have eased transportation problems and dispensed dividends of democracy to the people, through his people-oriented programmes and policies.
They disclosed this in their separate discussions with journalists shortly after the state executive council meeting of Imo State council of youths last Wednesday at the Imo Youth Centre, along Concorde hotel, in New Owerri.
They said, in view of the governor’s excellent performance and leadership style, that has impacted positively on the people and taken Imo State to the next level, “there is need to elect a credible candidate who the governor has groomed, nurtured and chosen to continue from where he will stop in 2019 and consolidate on his legacies in the over all interest of Imo people. And the only person that fits, has that experience, capacity and ability is Ugwumba Uche Nwosu because he has been with and under studied the governor since the inception of this government. Besides he is a youth, full of vigour, energy and vibrance”.
Hon. Aziuke vowed that youths of Owerri Federal Constituency will work in synergy with youths of other zones to ensure that no stone is left unturned in ensuring Ugwumba Uche Nwosu’s emergence as the next governor of Imo State. “The youths have decided to take their destiny in their hands and it will no longer be business as usual. Youths have the capacity to decide who wins election” in 2019.
Engr. Eze Ekene Norbert said Ugwumba Continuity Club which he is the founder and state facilitator with structures in all the wards and local government areas is poised to ensure that Ugumba Uche Nwosu becomes governor of Imo State, in 2019, against all odds to continue with the credible and excellent performance of governor Rochas Okorocha, “because you don’t change a winning team”.
Responding to a question, they said Uche Nwosu is youth friendly, humble, down to earth and is passionate about the people, especially the welfare of the indigent and less privileged.
They urged Imolites to shun gossips, propaganda, unnecessary falsehood and sentiments and massively support Ugwumba Uche Nwosu’s emergency as governor of Imo State come 2019 for the collective interest and benefit of the people.
