The member representing Isu state constituency, in the State House of Assembly, Hon Mrs Ngozi Obiefule has expressed gratitude to one of the sons of Isu local government area, Chief Chuba Ohams, who hails from Ebenato Ekwe autonomous community but based in the USA, for his philanthropy and contributions to the development of the area.

Hon Mrs Obiefule gave the commendation over the weekend during a visit to Chief Ohams in his Okoroduru residence, Ebenator, Ekwe in Isu LGA, where she explained that her visit was to felicitate with Chief Ohams on his effort to give a new lease of life to the community. According to her, Isu LGA is blessed to have Chief Ohams as a son and reiterated that if the people earlier had the likes of Chief Chuba Ohams, the area would have been more developed, as Chief Ohams has put smiles on the faces of the people.

On her second term bid, Hon Mrs Obiefule thanked the people of Isu state constituency for their support, encouragement and above all, for their prayers. She explained that her contesting for a second term is to enable her consolidate on her legislative duties and as a ranking officer in the state legislature, come 2019. Isu people, she said, will benefit more than ever. She thanked APC members in the state for their resolute support and Governor Okorocha for purposeful and responsive governance.

Responding, Chief Ohams thanked his visitors including the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr Hossan Keffas, for coming. He, he said, he has always worked hard and asked God for more wisdom and directions on how to improve the welfare of humanity, especially how best to help my people, empower the youths and offer scholarship to indigent students”.

He opined that when a child is educated, the entire community will be enlightened and a positive change will emerge.

He thanked Governor Okorocha for his road project in Ebenator Ekwe which he is yet to be completed but expressed satisfaction with the presence of rescue mission government in the area.

He also said that the people have continued to enjoy the little with which God has blessed him including the donation of 50 bags of rice and cartons of tomatoes to the women for their 2018 women August meeting. He pointed out that more programmes are on the way to enhance the leaving standard of his people.
