Prof. Protus Nathan Uzorma, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and social critic has congratulated his party for their resounding victory during last Saturday’s election in Imo State.

He stated this during a press conference in Owerri, yesterday.

Prof Uzorma appreciated the role of the media in disseminating information during the electioneering period, and expressed gratitude to Imolites for putting a stop to the familiocracy system of government that was orchestrated by Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

The University Don assured Imolites that PDP will form a government that will bring socio-economic transformation in the state. He urged Imolites to be patient with them because the party will certainly not fail anyone.

Going Further, Prof. Protus Uzorma advised candidates that lost the election to join PDP and build a better Imo.

According to him, “Imo has been destroyed for eight years. We don’t need litigations.Lovers of Imo should come together and make beautiful contributions for the good of the state”.

However, Prof Uzorma stated that candidates who feel their rights are being infringed upon should not be stopped from seeking justice.

Continueing,he predicted that surprises will spring up sooner or later over the true winner of the PDP governorship Primary. He vowed to criticize the governor if he derails, not withstanding the fact that he belongs to the party with him.

He supported Hon. Emeka Ihedioha’s instruction to stop further financial transactions in the state, stressing that he does not trust governor Okorocha because he can loot Imo State dry even at the last minute, stating that the instruction is timeous and imperative and must be encouraged, adding that afterall, this was exactly what Owelle Rochas Okorocha did to his predecessors Ikedi Ohakim when he ordered banks to freeze all government accounts in 2011 even when he was still governor-elect.
