Shares  food items as palliative for Covid-19 lockdown

The Federal lawmaker, representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr Uju Kingsley Chima has empowered the women of his Federal Constituency with grinding machines and generators.

Hon. Uju Kingsley, who also shared palliatives to the poor and vulnerable in his Federal Constituency to cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic lockdown and sit at home directives, explained that the gesture was a way of giving back to the women the mandate they freely offered him as their representative at the Federal House of Representatives.

“This is a way of paying back to our women for their massive support and electing me. It is also a way to encourage the women”, he announced.

Hon. Uju Kingsley urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment to better their lots and that of their families. According to him, whatever he can do to ensure that his people are adequately taken care of, especially in this lockdown period must be done for them because they are the ones he represents.

Ugoeze, the Director General (DG) Zara Uju Foundation and the Women Co-ordinator of the Federal Constituency, commended the lawmaker for the gesture, adding that the empowerment programme would go a long way in making the women self reliant.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Diana Nwakudu from Oru West commended the lawmaker and promised judicious usage of the item donated to her. The grinding machine and generators were shared alongside the relief materials.
