Senator Hope Uzodinma

In accordance with the Imo State University Law No. 5, the tenure of office of the University Deputy Vice Chancellor is for a period of two (2) years. Accordingly, the tenures of offices of the 2 University Deputy Vice Chancellors of Imo State University (IMSU) Owerri, namely Prof. Cornelius Nkwam Uwaoma (DVC, Academics) and Prof. B. E. B. Nwoke (DVC, Administration) had expired jointly on February 6, 2020 but they were still in office by the University Registrar, who ought to have reminded them to quit as at when due in accordance to law.

In a release signed by the  Commissioner for Education, Prof B. T. O Ikegwuoha, the visitor in keeping to the law establishing the school ordered the sack of the Imo DVCs.
