Following the mounting tension over who becomes the next Managing Director (MD) of the Imo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ISOPADEC), the people of Ohaji-Egbema LGA have unanimously sued and settled for Chief Charles Orie.

This resolution was made known on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in Owerri during a Press Conference organized by Ohaji-Egbema people under the leadership of Chief Martins Ejimnkonye and they vowed to have spoken out the true position of Ohaji-Egbema people by passing a vote of confidence on the person of Chief Charles Orie (Traditional Prime Minister Ohaji) for the position of ISOPADEC MD.

The people of Ohaji-Egbema LGA on that occasion through their leader urged the Executive Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma to go ahead and appoint their illustrious son, Chief Charles Orie as the substantive MD of ISOPADEC since it’s the unanimous wish of the people and in consideration of his capacity and competency in exemplary leadership.

They described Chief Charles Orie as a great asset to Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State and Nigeria at large, a man with less speech but full of action, a man so desired to develop their area, a buoyant man who has come to fulfill the purpose in which ISOPADEC was established inline with the people’s oriented vision of Sen. Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

They disclosed that Chief Charles Orie is eminently qualified for ISOPADEC MD and he remains the most resourceful person who can perform to the expectations of all the oil producing areas and Imo Government and revealed that any development contrary to the general interest of Ohaji-Egbema and Oguta oil producing areas might cause protest.

Earlier, the people pledged their loyalty to the present government and encouraged Governor Hope Uzodimma to remain undistracted even as it concerns ISOPADEC affairs hence Chief Charles Orie is in total control of the areas.
