The Member representing Ezinihitte Mbaise state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Anyadike Nwosu, who is known for his courageous stand on issues and quality representation, has once again put smiles on the faces of his people, by reducing their financial burden, as he recently, paid the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) examination fees of all pupils of Town School, Amumara, Mbaise.

It will be recalled that, Mary Chiamaka Enyioko, a pupil of Town School, Amumara, came first in the essay and mathematics competition initiated by Hon. Anyadike, last year.

Thereafter, the legislator, who was impressed and moved by the performance of little Mary Chiamaka Enyioko promised to pay the FSLC examination fees of all pupils of Town School, Amumara and also offered Mary Chiamaka Enyioko, scholarship from JSS1-SSS3.

He also commended and appreciated Chiamaka’s class teacher with an undisclosed cash gift for her effort in producing such a brilliant child.

Traditional and political leaders of Amumara community present at the occasion, expressed gratitude to Hon. Anyadike for his benevolence and assured him of their continued support and loyalty.

The  Peoples Democratic Party Chairman of Amumara ward, Engr. Promise Eneogwe, who expressed confidence in the legislator’s capacity at all times, onbehalf of the people, thanked Barr. Anyadike for his forth rightness, stressing that, “he has remained a vocal and relentless voice of the people, hence we don’t regret giving him our mandate”.

The LGA Education Secretary of Ezinihitte and the school’s headmistress, Lady Agath Egwurugwn, separately, thanked Hon. Anyadike for coming to the aid of the pupils and their parents who have not fully recovered from the COVID-19 induced hardship.

Commenting on the development, Hon. Anyadike said his decision to pay the pupils’ examination fees, was borne out of pity, considering the plight of their parents and the harsh realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, nationwide.

He lamented the inadequate number of teachers in our schools and the negative effects on the education system in the state.

He advised the children not to give up or be discouraged, stressing that where there is a will, there will always be a way, because determination surmounts limitations.
