The traditional ruler of Amaifeke Autonomous Community and chairman of Imo Traditional Institution and Community Policing, HRM Eze (Dr) Emmanuel Okeke has called on Imo youths to remain calm, assuring that days ahead, will be much better.

Speaking to journalists at his palace over the weekend, Eze Dr. Okeke acknowledged that the youths have genuine demands and that the nationwide ENDSARS protest, shows how united they are in pressing home their demands but pleaded that having made their demands known to government at all levels, they should now wait for government to implement all of the demands. He said that the government cannot implement such demands in a chaotic situation.

He assured that the Imo State government in particular will implement their programs designed to assuage the anger and frustrations of Imo State Youths, as demonstrated by His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma package for their component.

Eze Udo commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for approving N6billion for youth empowerment in Imo State. In his view, the approval of the said fund will go a long way in engaging the youths meaningfully and resourcefully towards increasing productivity and food security.

Eze Udo called for an end to destruction of lives and property, saying that Igbos are not known for destruction of property let alone killing their brothers. He then charged the youths to appreciate Governor Hope Uzodinma’s gesture by supporting his shared prosperity government.
