Supreme Court will on Thursday, October 22 begin the hearing or decide on the matter between the current governor of Imo State,Senator Hope Uzodinma and Rt.Hon Emeka Ihedioha in Abuja.

The matter before the apex court of the land is on interpretation of an already decided case against Uche Nwosu which disqualified him on the ground of double nominations. The PDP and it’s 2019 governorship candidate, Rt.Hon Emeka Ihedioha  had approached the Supreme Court to enforce it’s judgement, declaring that the All Progressive Congress, APC had no candidate for the 2019 governorship election.

According to our Abuja source, the parties involved in the matter were already communicated yesterday’s evening. This according to him is contrary to the belief of  Uzodinma’s camp. They  had argued that until the remaining Supreme Court justices are sworn in, the matter will not be heard.”Their protection was for 6 months from now for the matter to be called up”, the source hinted.

It was further gathered that Justice Merry Odile and another Justice from Lagos State are part of the panel that would look into the matter. It was not clear who will head the panel but is being speculated that since Justice Odile is the most senior in the panel and having come from South-South may head the panel.
