Imo State born Professor of Chemistry who lectures with the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO),Professor Emeka Oguzie has been listed among the best world scientists of our time.

Oguzie is one of the very few who were recently selected from a USA based Stanford University report, that identified and described him as the top 2% of the most cited scientists in various disciplines. The exhaustive list has a total of 159,683 persons with nearly 1,500 scientists, doctors, engineers globally. 

 Those listed among the top 2% scientists in a global list compiled by the prestigious Stanford University include;14 professors of Indian institute of technology Banaras Hindu University, who were selected on the basis of their research paper’s international evaluation.    

“The database, according to IIT Guwahati, was created to provide updated analysis and a publicly available database of top scientists that provide standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted h-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.

 As gathered, Prof. Oguize who is  also the president of international family foundation featured on the list drawn from various scientific fields — the Departments of civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics.

While, congratulating him, the Secretary General of International Family Foundation, HRH Sir. Ovie Owen Omeleh. KSP. Said Professor Emeka Oguzie; who has demonstrated the same commitment and Leadership to the Foundation is now a Global citizen and a pride to Africa.  

He noted as quite impressive that the FOUNDATION’s President had published over 107 papers, ranked 397 in the field of Materials among a total authors within the field of 177,931. 

“This accomplished feat he acknowledged was a result of his sacrifice, discipline, diligence and commitment to Excellence.” 

He called on the Federal Government and President Muhammad Buhari to give the required recognition and encourage this noble achievement which has brought pride to Africa and indeed Nigeria.
