The Aboh Mbaise chapter of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has dismissed one of the chieftains of the party in Ibeku ward,Chief Edozie Njoku for acts capable of causing breach of peace and break up of the party in the area based on allegations of gross misconduct and factionalization.

In a statement signed by the ward chairman of the party, Bright Chimezie Uwakwe and made available to newsmen in Owerri, indicates that the decision to expel Chief Njoku from the party was based on the report and the recommendation of a disciplinary committee set up on October 5, 2020 to investigate allegations of misconduct and factionalization of the party, acts likely to breach peace and damage the image of the party.

He was alleged to have refused to appear before the disciplinary committee to defend himself hence the decision to expel him.

The party said that the action to expel Chief Njoku was based on article 22(b) of the party’s constitution.
