Commends selfless service, passion for improved citizens’ welfare 

The executive members of National Orientation Agency, led by the state Director, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Ekeoba on Wednesday September 1, 2021 visited Ikukuoma Foundation. The visit was in fulfillment of the promise they made earlier when the management of Ikukuoma Foundation visited the agency and solicited their partnership and assistance in some of the foundation’s programs.

While introducing the visitors to the management and staff of the organization, in the foundation’s conference hall, the Director General, Comrade Julius Nnaji expressed delight that the visit has offered the Orientation agency the opportunity to know more about the humanitarian outfit’s aims and objectives.

He thanked the Agency for keeping to its promise and finding time amidst the tight schedules associated with their job, to make the visit a reality. He made it clear that the visit shows the importance they attach to organizations or bodies willing to align with their objectives.

Responding, the State Director of the National Orientation Agency, Dr. Mrs Ngozi Ekeogu, who was impressed with the founder of Ikukuoma Foundation, High Chief Dr. Summers V.C Nwokie for his unalloyed commitment in improving the lives and wellness of the society through his humanitarian organization. She made it clear that it’s that same commitment and resilience of the Foundation that triggered their willingness to embark on the visit.

She emphasized the need for collective efforts in areas of sensitization and orientation services for the total wellness of humanity, while pledging to assist the Foundation in human resources and all other areas their capacity can contain.

“There is need for a total change of attitude and strength of positive character, if we must excel as humans and in accordance with that fact, there is need to target the young ones in our correctional measures so as to achieve a sustainable development ” she quipped.

She applauded Ikukuoma Foundation for its selfless services and quest for the betterment of mankind, while encouraging it not to relent or get discouraged.

Adding to the speech of the State Director, Mr. Nazzy Njoku, the Director of Administration and Finance, intimated the Foundation on some ongoing projects being undertaken by the Orientation Agency on grassroots development/empowerment and was full of optimism that the partnership with Ikukuoma Foundation will further expand the reach of the project.

Dr.Mrs Mercy Nwosu, the Assistant State Director, and Mr. Chris Nwauzor were among the delegation in the entourage.

A renowned journalist, Mr. Chidiebube Okeoma, of the Punch Newspapers, was also present at the meeting.
