Sequel to the recent reports of the Justice Iheaka led panel on public Land and other properties illegally acquired by the previous administration and the subsequent government White Paper on it which exposed the height and magnitude of public and private properties illegally acquired and coveted by former governor Okorocha’s family, his cohorts, surrogates and siblings with a committee headed by Professor Awuzie working on the White Paper, a situation that has whipped up sentiment, and hatred of the former Governor in remembrance of his eight year tenure of holding Imo state in bondage.

Most Imolites in retaliation and disgust have started to show apathy to most of Owelle Okorocha’s businesses and those of his family members scattered in Imo.

Most of these former bubbling business centres now going down include Willow Wood Hotel at Amakohia Owerri, which name has been changed and the property suspected to have been sold to another person, Lamonde printing press which is shut-down and “The HIVE” executive restaurant located at Ugwu Orji on Okigwe Road among others not listed.

The only functional one is the former Lamonde Hotel renamed Willwood Hotel at Okigwe road.

Also caught in this new fever of low patronage or avoided spots, are those outfits or business houses known to belong to Okorocha’s siblings which include the House of Freda and a supermarket owned by his sister Ogechi Ololo located opposite Civil center, New Owerri. and ALL-INN owned by his wife, located  along Aba road that no longer attracts customers while Okorocha’s Riverside Hotel located at Ogboko in Ideato South LGA, has been shut-down.

Also, activities at the Royal Palm Hotel and Suites along Akachi road is affected by government action.

While his businesses are going down his one time Principal Secretary,Hon Dr Paschal Obi is struggling to take over full control of the controversial multi-million-naira Medical Complex named Dews of Hope.
