Owerri Communities  Spoil For War,Tell Government To Respect Court Orders

Agitation is again brewing over proposal of the Imo State to allocate land to interested persons.

A recent press release  from the office of the Commissioner for lands stated that interested persons should pay a non refundable fee of #200000 to #5OOOO.

Already the people of Owerri are spoiling for war over their ancestral lands for development of the state.

Some stakeholders from Owerri communities who don’t want to be mentioned said that the governor being aware of and cases in court is going ahead with his proposals and has no recourse to the cases in court, adding that the governor has begun what Governor Okorocha did when he refused to reference  the cases in court before he took action.

When contacted,  one of the foremost leaders of Owerri communities Bob Njemanze confirmed that some of the cases have not been dispensed and said he  hopes that the governor will listen to the cries of these communities.
