Former Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Political Adviser, Dr Batos Nwadike, has raised alarm over alleged plot by the Governor and one of his predecessors in office, Chief Ikedi Ohakim to instigate his arrest and indefinite detention on the basis of trumped up charges.

Nwadike, who voluntarily resigned from his position as Political Adviser to the Governor following some irreconcilable differences stated this, in a statement he personally signed and made available to the public, said, the only ‘’offence’’ he committed for which they are plotting to put him out of circulation, is that he has continued to remain afloat despite the machinations of his detractors.

The statement dated June, 7, 2023, and addressed to the Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, No 19 Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja and captioned, ‘’Do not devise evil in your hearts against one another-Zechariah 7:10, reads in part, ‘’My Dear Good People of Imo,

“DO NOT DEVISE EVIL IN YOUR HEARTS AGAINST ONE ANOTHER – ZECHARIAH 7: 10

“I have been reliably informed that ex-Governor Ikedi Ohakim in connivance with the powers-that-be have instigated the Nigerian Police to arrest me and put me out of circulation indefinitely with immediate effect.

“For record purposes, I have not committed any crime against any of these men. My hands are clean. My only crime is my continual indefatigable existence despite all their machinations.

“I have since left them to enjoy the largesse of the government which a few of us laboured for decades to bring to fruition yet everyday they devise evil in their hearts against me.

“By this letter, I hereby inform the good people of Imo State that at any time from now, I will be arrested and put out of circulation indefinitely based on the instigation of Mr Ikedi Ohakim and the powers-that-be.

“I have no fear in my heart.

Let the God that liveth and posterity be the judge’’.
